The 57th District deserves a fresh start!

Chris Hanson
As a local business owner for nearly a decade, Chris has experience working with Fox Cities residents on a daily basis. She knows first-hand the dedication and commitment it takes to create and retain jobs when there are so many economic and environmental issues to tackle.

Chris has taken healthcare issues to Madison and Washington DC, through her work with seven area Chambers of Commerce and the Wisconsin Association of Health Underwriters. She was instrumental in hosting a bi-partisan forum on healthcare that brought representatives from Madison to the Fox Cities

Chris is a dedicated volunteer to several area organizations, including Best Friends of Neenah/Menasha. Chris and her husband Steve were the first couple to receive Volunteer of the Year from Best Friends for their work with the Gourmet Bike Tour.

Innovative Solutions
Employee wellness in the Fox Cities is now in the national spotlight with Well City-Fox Cities. This program is the result of hard work and dedication from Chris and her co-collaborators, Barbara Van Gorp of McClone Insurance Group and Pamela Utpadel of Universal Insurance Advisors. They brought change to the region fast, bringing 30,000 employees in to a national program sponsored by WELCOA

Prepared to Mobilize Madison
Chris wants the Fox Cities community to voice their opinions on important political changes before proposals are drafted. Her work with area Chambers of Commerce has resulted in collaboration on key issues important to the people of the 57th district – healthcare, economic development and small business success. Chris was instrumental in creating a forum in January 2010 to bring key government officials from Madison to meet with the community and business owners to discuss Badger Care Choice proposals. The Fox Cities community had a voice in Madison, and it was because Chris was able to organize and mobilize the community to take action.

Moving Wisconsin Forward
Chris Hanson has dedicated over thirty years to making a difference in the Fox Cities. She is passionate about moving Wisconsin forward and has proven she can unite business and government to do the right thing to help the hard-working people of the Fox Cities thrive.
My Philosophy
“My desire is to provide a better future for the people of the 57th District. I hope you will join my campaign to demand innovative thinking in Madison.”

I have spent my professional career working in one of the largest and most complicated industries - healthcare. My focus has always been to do what’s right for the customer, even if it means standing up to some of the largest and most powerful companies in the nation.

Navigating through the tough times in healthcare reminds me of how I built my business in the first place. It was by providing personalized service to my customers, equally, whether they were large businesses or sole proprietors. Business is about trust and requires constancy, which is what I am driven to provide everyday.

My beliefs drove me to start my own agency, providing personalized service, and putting the customer first. As a result of “standing firm” for my customers and business principles, I earned a reputation for honestly, integrity and fair dealing. Clients regularly come to me with their issues because they know I listen and follow-up with a solution.

My business grew as a result of doing the right thing for our customers, who began to tell others businesses about our compassionate and effective approach. We were recognized as the “Rising Star Award” in 2006 and received the Fox Cities Chamber Woman of Excellence and Leadership award (Athena Award) in 2007. I could never have done that without showing respect and working hard for my clients, as well as my staff.

If I can “stand firm” in the aggressive healthcare industry, believe me, I will have no problem being an advocate for the families in the 57th District. I will provide the same personal service for you!

Thomas Jefferson said, “In matters of style, swim with the current, but in matters of principle, stand like a rock!”

I look forward to earning the privilege of representing you in Madison.
Why Vote For Chris?
I have been successful in getting the Fox Cities on the road to getting healthy again. Through my work recruiting over 30,000 employees to join Well City Fox-Cities, I have proven ability to ignite and unite people for positive change. I believe in less centralized control of State government, which brings out the best in the individual. Our current system is sick and if we continue on our current path, it will be too late to recover.

The State we love is in debt and can't continue. A vote for me is a vote to stop runaway government from destroying the forward future of Appleton residents.
More About Chris
Chris has lived in the Fox Cities for other thirty years. She was born in Ontario, Canada and became a naturalized citizen in 1984 (just in time to vote for Ronald Reagan!). A graduate of Northern Michigan University, she began her career in the medical field, followed by an insurance career. Knowing she could make a difference for small business owners, she founded her own insurance agency, Hanson Benefits, in 2003.

Chris has been active in her profession with the Wisconsin Association of Health Underwriters (WAHU). In 2008, she was elected president of the Fox Cities Chapter of WAHU. Chris has taken health care issues to Madison and Washington DC, through her work with seven area Chambers of Commerce and the Wisconsin Association of health Underwriters. She was instrumental in hosting a bi-partisan forum on health care that brought representatives from Madison to the Fox Cities. Chris is not about taking sides on an issue. She advocates dialogue and discussions of a "third solution."

Employee wellness in the Fox Cities is now in the national spotlight with Well City - Fox Cities. This program is the result of hard work and dedication from Chris and her co-collaborators, Barbara Van Gorp of McClone Insurance Group and Pamela Utpadel of Universal Insurance Advisors. They brought change to the region quickly, bringing more than 30,000 employees in to this national program sponsored by the Wellness Council of America (WELCOA).

Chris and her husband, Steve, are dedicated volunteers to several area organizations, including Best Friends Neenah/Menasha. they were the first couple to receive a Volunteer of hte Year from Best Friends for their work with the Gourmet Bike Tour.

An avid entrepreneur and fitness advocate, Chris will bring the energy and passion necessary to mobilize Madison, bringing people together to tackle tough issues.

When you elect Chris to represent the citizens of the 57th District, she will unite business and government to do the right thing to help the hard-working people of the Fox Cities thrive.
